Fresnel lenses are generally used as a ray concentrators like conventional convex lenses, but it’s much thinner and lighter. For that reason, It has been universally used in taillights or OHP (overhead projector) to concentrate rays of light into focus.
As conventional lenses, most of fresnel lenses are also made of plastic. However, Seoul Precision Optics Co., Ltd.(http://www.spocc.com), a global manufacturer of optical coatings for electronic, optical, lighting and industrial applications, has successfully developed new version of fresnel lenses made of silicon wafer to use it for infrared rays sensors.
Contrary to plastic lenses, wafer lenses can be penetrated by infrared rays so that it can be highly sensitive by concentrating infrared rays in the presence of infrared rays sensors. Infrared rays sensors are generally applied to cars or ear clinical thermometers.
Also Seoul Precision Optics Co., Ltd. has enhanced its functions by using progressive spattering technology suited to micro mini lens, filter coating unlike electronic beam method. Since the performance of the lens can be calculated based on coating degree, it can be controlled as you want and developed up to three times.
With the increasing demand for infrared rays sensors, Sim Munsik ,the head of Seoul Precision Optics Co., Ltd., expects the great demand for fresnel lenses which will enhance functions of infrared rays sensors clearing out any technical deficiencies.

Seoul is Korea’s capital city and its most populous city.Today’s Seoul is home to almost 11 million people and encompasses 605.58 square kilometers. It represents over 24 percent of the entire county’s population. The Han River bisects the city into two parts, nothern and southern Seoul. Northern Seoul totals 298.04 §´ (49.2 %) while the southern part is 307.73 §´ (50.8 %).
Seoul had rich past history. Almost 2,000 years ago, the area of the city developed into a town and was chosen as the capital of the Baekche Kingdom (18 B.C. ~ 660 A.D.), one of the three ancient states on the Korean peninusla. The Joseon Dynasty was founded in 1392. Its founding King, Yi SongGye, decided to make the place capital of the kingdom which is now called Seoul (http://korea.ixs.net/cities/Seoul/index.aspx) . The King built Royal shrines, palace buildings, as well as a fortified wall surrounding the capital. The administrative area of the capital was broken down into five inner-wall zones. The function of these zones was comparable to today’s Gus (wards).
History shows that the population of Seoul remained close to 200,000 for almost 200 years from the 1660’s.However, the population began to increase toward the end of the 19th century. The city received its first cosmopolitan touches with the opening of the nation to foreign powers and the opening of foreign missions in Seoul.
The Korean War played havoc with this capital city. The city was reduced to piles of debris. Seoul was able to regain the function of national capital after the Armistice Agreement saw.The government gave it top priority to rebuild it into a modern metropolis. The Seoul Metropolitan Government was put under direct control of the Prime Minister under a special legislative measure enacted in 1962.. This act enabled Seoul to develop into an autonomous administration.
Soul has been divided into 25 “gu” or wards. Eight out of the 25 “gu” or wards have more than 500,000 residents. Songpa-gu has the biggest population of some 700,000. In contrast, Chung-ku has a population of only 176,000. In the past 600 years since Seoul became the capital of the nation in 1394, the population of Seoul has grown 110 times.
Seoul has become so important for the country that it successfully represents Korea’s business, education, and modern culture. It also offers wide range of activities for everyone, including museums and palaces, parks and mountains, and amusement parks and night clubs.
The climate of Seoul is temperate. It has four distinctive seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. The yearly average temperature of Seoul is 11.8 degrees C. Temperatures in Seoul tend to fluctuate a great deal, reaching as high as 38.4 degrees C in the summer and dropping as low as -12.6 degrees C in the winter.
Seoul has been ranked among the most advanced capital cities in the world. It has the honor of hosting the Asian Games in 1986 and the Olympiad in 1988 quite successfully. With the vast urbanization and industrialization of the city over the past 30 Years, Seoul in being growing into a prosperous and thriving city.

Vision One has done it again by teaming up with HABU.TV in the U.S. to bring real American TV programming to Asia! “We are very excited about our new IPTV for Asia called HABU.TV (which has a catchy phrase to it as well Hook A Brotha Up with some TV!) that we just rolled-out. We are offering over 250 channels of premium programming directly from the U.S. with 100 hours DVR included to enable time shifting for the Expats and Military Communities in Asia”. It certainly sounds good to me! Being away from home for extended periods of time used to mean that you had to settle for whatever local cable/satellite service was available in your host country, which is very different from U.S. programming.
“Most Asian countries’ movie and entertainment channels have old programming that most Americans have already seen or are a season behind on TV series programming. The sports channels are usually heavy on soccer and local sports…not the big 3 like NFL, NBA, or MLB. Not to mention they have absolutely no college football. Yeah, the American communities were pretty starved for programming to say the least.” Not anymore! With all your favorites like NBC, ABC, HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Fox, as well as all the sporting events and PPV, you can see why they are pretty excited at Vision One! Founded in 1998 by Mr. Clay Cook, entrepreneur, and businessman who has resided in Okinawa for the last 21 years has been rated “Best Internet and VoIP (IP Phone) Provider on Okinawa” by their constituents, the U.S. Military community on Okinawa. There is no secret to their success. They are a first-level agency for all the leading major communication carriers here in Japan such as NTT, KDDI, OCN, SoftBank, YahooBB, TeleVelocity, SkyPerfecTV, and now HABU.TV/IPTV on Okinawa. There are many Expats and American military stationed and living in Asia. We are marketing heavy in Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Manila, and Bangkok for the Expat communities and Korea and Japan for the heavy U.S. Military presence.
Vision One doesn’t just do IPTV in Okinawa, Internet or VoIP, they are also a leading provider of Satellite TV (AFN and SkyPerfecTV) sales and services on Okinawa. “We do many things here,” says Clay. “Thru our other division, we also provide financial planning and investment consultancy services like payday loans for the U.S. Military here in Okinawa; as well as corporate marketing consultancy and brokerage services for companies seeking to do business with the U.S Military or Japanese government here.” Indeed this is seen by just visiting their website that Vision One is truly diversified and has their “business antennae peaked” for optimum performance! You can visit Vision One at www.v1global.com, www.habu.tv, www.televelocity.com or call 81-98-921-0002 to inquire about any of their many services.
